ROLE INFORMATION :

Our client is looking for a fully formed, highly competent Senior Estimator / Estimator to

This role requires a plug-and-play professional who can hit the ground running with minimal training or supervision.

The successful candidate will play a key role in the pre-construction phase, providing accurate cost estimations across a range of industrial refurbishment projects, including package analysis and subcontractor procurement.

Key Responsibilities:

Full cradle-to-grave estimating across industrial refurbishment projects (both internal and external works)
Comprehensive package analysis across multiple trades including demolition, cladding, roofing, M&E, and internal fit-out
Development of detailed first-principles estimates and cost plans
Assessment of subcontractor quotes and tender returns
Preparation of tender submissions and client presentations
Identifying risks, opportunities, and value engineering options
Liaising with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to obtain competitive prices
Attending site visits and pre-tender meetings
Managing multiple tenders simultaneously to tight deadlinesKey Requirements:

Minimum 5+ years' experience as an Estimator, ideally within industrial refurbishment or commercial projects
Excellent understanding of first-principles estimating across multiple trades
Ability to break down packages and conduct detailed package analysis
Strong commercial awareness and knowledge of market rates
Experience working on projects valued between £500k - £10m
Proven track record of working autonomously with minimal supervision
Proficient in estimating software (e.g. ConQuest, Causeway, Excel-based templates)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to build strong relationships with clients and subcontractorsDesirable:

Experience working on industrial, logistics, or commercial refurb projects
Knowledge of NEC and JCT contractsRelevant construction qualifications (HNC/HND/Degree
