Role: Process Controller (Maternity Cover)
Salary: £14.70 per hour
Shift: Monday-Friday 06:00-14:00

What we are looking for:
We are looking for a professional and experienced Process Controller to join our growing team. The purpose of the role is to support the site operations team in delivery of safe and legal products to the customer by ensuring adherence to the sites food safety and legality procedures and policies. Support the Team Leaders in delivering efficient line change overs and running of the production lines, ensuring key due diligence checks are conducted robustly and in a timely manner.

Key responsibilities as a Process Controller will be to:
- Drive and support behavioral safety within shift teams
- Lead a "no acceptance" culture of H&S.
- Drive GMP standards for all factory areas.
- Drive Quality Culture and right first-time approach.
- Complete key process & component checks ensuring compliance to product specifications and product quality parameters are met.
- Ensure traceability is accurate, legible and maintained throughout all documentation
- Conduct and record Critical Control Points (CCP) checks.
- Ensure set up and correct operation of inline X Ray machines
- Manage the set up and routine operation of check weighers.
- Conduct manual and automatic finished product Label verification checks via online coding systems.
- Participate in the site's quality improvement agenda plan. i.e. WIBITs / Spec checks / taste panels.
- Collect product & component samples for Taste Panel and micro sampling schedule.
- Escalate any identified non-conforming product or process to the Team Leader and Quality management team. Supporting in the identification and control of stock.
- Support incident investigations where required to understand the root cause and drive improved ways of working.
- Ad hoc tasks as advised by the Team Manager


Required experience/expertise to succeed as a Process Controller will include:
- Food industry experience
- Knowledge of HACCP
- Experience in quality standards
- Ability to work both as part of a team and independently
