Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

Employment Type: Permanent, Full-time

Location: Dukinfield

Hours: 8.00am - 4pm, Monday to Friday

On Call: 1 in 3 weeks (6am Monday - 6am Saturday) - Few calls outs per year

Salary: £40,000 - £43,000 p.a. depending on experience + overtime available.

As a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, you will be working at a manufacturing site where you focus will be on mechanical repairs and maintenance of production machinery. This is a 'hands-on' role so being proactive is essential! Reporting directly to the Engineering Manager, you will be part of a team of engineers responsible for maintaining and developing the manufacturing plant and equipment.

Example of Responsibilities:

Fault finding on equipment breakdowns.
Responding quickly and efficiently to maintenance issues on site to minimise downtime.
Assembling equipment based on engineering schematics or personal expertise.
Work on industrial machine, machine installations and maintenance.
Prioritising safety protocols and performing risk assessments prior to commencing work.
Working with industrial machines, machine installations, and maintenance.
Participating in the call-out rota to provide 24-hour emergency engineering coverage when necessary.
Requirements:

HND/NVQ or equivalent trained in mechanical engineering.
Experience within a manufacturing environment.
IPAD Licence is advantageous.
Strong mechanical experience.
Able to commute to Dukinfield.
