Streatham & Clapham High School (SCHS) seeks to appoint an outstanding teacher and dynamic leader as Head of Biology.
As Head of Biology, you will be responsible for guiding a talented team of teachers to deliver a rich and engaging curriculum. You will inspire students to reach their full potential and be passionate about shaping the Biology provision across the
school.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of teaching Key Stage 3, (I)GCSE, and A-Level Biology, with some relevant leadership experience, such as overseeing a scheme of work or key stage.
You will be committed to promoting the highest standards of teaching and learning, fostering a passion for Biology, and ensuring impressive outcomes in public examinations. Above all, you will embody our core values of kindness, respect, integrity, and compassion.
The Department
The Science Department at SCHS is a vibrant and well-resourced team, consisting of the Head of Science/Head of Physics, Head of Biology, Head of Chemistry, and a number of specialist science teachers and technicians.
The Department has seven modern laboratories, including two specialist labs for each science discipline, and a laboratory tailored for Sixth Form teaching.
Our students have access to a wide range of enrichment activities, including science trips, masterclasses, Science Week, and various competitions.
