Reed Accountancy & Finance are now recruiting for an Accounts Assistant with 2 years+  previous experience, that would like to be part of a successful & growing business.

• Annual Salary: Circa £26,000 (Dependent on Experience)
• Location:  Southend-on-Sea
• Job Type: Full-time, 12-month FTC (with potential for permanent position)

We are seeking an Accounts Assistant to join a leading organisation during a period of exciting growth. This role is ideal for a productive and ambitious individual who is eager to assist with financial data analysis, preparation of financial reports, and support during the transition to new systems.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Reviewing and reconciling client accounts and resolving discrepancies.
• Preparing financial reports and statements.
• Maintaining financial records and online filing systems.
• Providing administrative support to the finance department.
• Assisting with the analysis of financial data to support business decisions.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience with Sage 50 is essential.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Highly motivated with a commitment to completing activities.
• Strong analytical skills, particularly with Sage.
• Bookkeeping experience, including reconciliations and bank reconciliations.
• 2 years of experience within a finance department is highly desirable.
• AAT qualification is preferred but not essential.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new systems and processes.
