LEVEL 3 TEACHING ASSISTANT

£83.40 - £90 per day, leading to salary after trial period

An Ofsted rated 'Good' school in Walkden is looking for a Level 3 Teaching Assistant to work in one of their Year 3 classrooms. The school are keen to employ someone with lots of initiative, who is either a newly qualified Level 3 and a fast learner, or an experienced Level 3 with many years of experience in the Primary classroom.

In this role, the successful individual will have responsibility for supporting whole class learning by working one to one with children to meet their targets, as well as working with small groups on catch-up interventions. For this reason, the successful applicant must have strong behaviour management, as they will be expected to take small groups out of the classroom and during these times it is essential that school behaviour standards are upheld even in the absence of the teacher. The successful applicant must have an understanding of how to support children with SEND, as this will be one element of the role.
