We currently have an immediate start for a full-time dedicated and enthusiastic Early Learning Practitioner who would enjoy working as part of our experienced team in a lively and friendly environment on a supply/temporary basis.
The role will be split equally between our two sites working 35 hours per week between the hours of 7.45 am and 6 pm.
Main Responsibilities: Day-to-day tasks include working as part of a team with shared responsibilities for:-
- Creating a stimulating learning environment which fosters creativity, curiosity and challenge.
- Promoting positive relationships with parents, children and colleagues
- Safeguarding and promoting the health, safety and welfare of the children
- Making accurate and effective use of assessment reflecting the needs, interests and developmental stage of the individual child
- Using self-evaluation to identify areas for improvement.
- Demonstrating a commitment to on-going CPD eg training, weekly planning and monthly quality assurance/self-evaluation activities.
Ideal Candidate: Interested candidates should hold an HNC in Childhood Practice or an SVQ in Social Services 3 in Children and Young People (or equivalent). They should also have experience of working within an Early Years setting and be able to demonstrate up-to-date knowledge of all national guidelines and documents relating to pre-school education. They must also hold current SSSC registration or be willing to undertake the qualification.
Ideally, candidates will also hold a Level 3 Certificate in Forest School Programme Leadership or experience in Forest School/outdoor learning, this is desirable although not essential.
