Our client is seeking a proactive and customer-focused individual to fill the role of Counter Salesperson. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting customers in a hardware and wood supply setting, ensuring a high standard of service while maximizing sales and customer satisfaction. This role requires excellent communication, product knowledge, and the ability to manage sales transactions efficiently.
Greet and assist customers in the store, addressing their inquiries and guiding them through product selection.
Provide product knowledge and recommend appropriate items based on customer needs, particularly in wood, timber, and hardware products.
Process sales transactions accurately, ensuring correct pricing and handling of payments.
Maintain a clean and organized sales counter and display areas.
Assist in the loading and unloading of products, ensuring the proper handling and storage of wood and hardware items.
Keep track of inventory levels and assist with stock management, including restocking shelves when necessary.
Collaborate with the store manager and team to meet sales targets and enhance the customer shopping experience.
Handle customer complaints or refer them to the appropriate department for resolution.
Stay updated on new products, promotions, and industry trends to offer informed advice.
