Raven Recruitment are currently recruiting for an IT and Digital Director to work with The Royal Borough of Kingston Upon Thames. This will begin as a contract post for a minimum of 3 to 6 months with the view to extend, working 36 hours per week.

Experience:

* Demonstrable experience of leading Digital transformation and adoption in complex organisations.

* Experience of leading Digital teams including user research, service design and development teams.

* Operational management of technology service delivery, including service desk and support functions, infrastructure, networks, applications and IT security.

* Evidence of creating and delivering against Digital & IT strategy at both technical and service levels.

* Experience working with senior stakeholders.

* Demonstrable commercial and delivery experience with programmes and portfolios, budgeting and resource management in order to deliver IT service and digital transformation programmes.

* Detailed knowledge of information governance and data management.

* Experience of working as part of an organisational leadership team.

* Knowledge of commissioning

Delivery:

* Leads on digital transformation activities across the councils to enable council departments to optimise their own transformation opportunities.

* Ensure that all digital services meet user needs and adhere to user focused design principles, this includes the management of the Councils' websites.

* Lead the transformational and operational delivery of Digital & IT services that the organisations rely upon.

* Leading the delivery of the Councils' data strategy and developing the capability to take advantage of AI technologies.

* Play a key role in ensuring delivery of the corporate plans of both boroughs through enabling our workforce, our customers and our communities. Deliver projects into the community for example Internet of Things, 5G and connectivity into the Boroughs.

* Creates strategies and approaches to formulate and deliver against Digital & IT technology and service roadmaps.

* Provides secure, stable and supportable operational digital and IT services to the councils and wider customer base.

* Ensures best practice in information governance, and IT security.

* Promotes digital literacy, opportunity and access both within the councils and across their wider communities.

* Enables faster and more collaborative implementation and take-up of digital approaches by working with pan-London and national bodies such as LOTI (London Office of Technology and Innovation and GDS (Government Digital Service).
