Road waste is often a breeding ground for pests and bacteria. Sweeper Drivers are indispensable for maintaining clean roads. They directly contribute to improving public health by reducing the spread of diseases and preventing environmental contamination.

The Job
In a nutshell, you will be working in a team of two, driving a mechanical sweeper to keep the streets and pavements of Wiltshire cleansed and clear of waste.

Key responsibilities:

* Sweeping roads with a mechanical sweeper.

* Some manual sweeping and weeding in areas not accessible to the sweeper.

* Carry out daily maintenance checks.

* Report relevant issues to the Contract Manager.

* Litter picking and collecting other materials as required.

About you
This role is ideal for someone who is a skilled driver but perhaps, more importantly, someone who always completes a task to the best of their ability. If you're an excellent communicator, laser-focused, and aren't afraid of an honest day's work, this role is for you!

Key Requirements:

* Hold a relevant valid driver's license.

* Own a CPC driver's card and Digital Tacho.

* A skilled driver as you will be driving a large vehicle on narrow roads.

* Previous experience using a mechanical sweeper is desirable.

* Due to the nature of the role, you must be physically fit with no lingering injuries.

Salary
£13.00 to £14.00 per hour.

Hours
37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
