We have an exciting opportunity for a 3rd Line Network Engineer to join a growing firm in Gloucester, offering up to £45,000 per year with excellent growth potential.Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 3rd line support for complex network issues across LAN/WAN, firewalls, and VPNs.
• Troubleshoot and resolve high-level networking problems, ensuring system reliability and performance.
• Maintain and manage network security, monitoring, and optimisation.
• Collaborate with other IT teams and departments to deliver seamless network services and upgrades.
• Mentor and support junior engineers, contributing to a collaborative and learning-focused environment.

Key Skills:

• Strong experience with Cisco/Juniper routers and switches.
• Proficiency in configuring firewalls (Cisco ASA, Fortinet, Palo Alto, etc.) and VPN technologies.
• Deep understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS) and security best practices.
• Experience in network monitoring and performance tools.

Desirable:

• Network certifications such as CCNP, JNCIP, or equivalent.
• Experience with cloud networking (Azure, AWS) is a plus.
• Experience in a leadership or mentoring capacity.
