About the Role

ABC Teachers is seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Lesson Support Assistant to work in a broad-spectrum SEN (Special Educational Needs) setting. This role involves supporting students with diverse additional needs across various subjects and age groups.

As a Lesson Support Assistant, you will:

Assist in the delivery of lessons, adapting materials to meet individual needs.
Provide one-to-one or small group support as directed by teaching staff.
Help create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment.
Support students' social and emotional development.
Work closely with teachers to prepare resources and maintain classroom organization.

What We're Looking For

The ideal Lesson Support Assistant will have:

A Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent experience).
Experience supporting children or young adults with additional needs, preferably in an educational setting.
Confidence and compassion in providing personal care where necessary.
Strong behavior management skills and a patient, child-centered approach.
A DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
