Key Responsibilities:

Patient Preparation: Assist in preparing patients for gynaecological consultations and procedures by ensuring they are comfortable, informed, and ready for their appointments. This includes taking basic vital signs (e.g., blood pressure, pulse, temperature) and ensuring all pre-procedure paperwork is completed.

Assisting During Consultations: Support clinicians during outpatient consultations, providing assistance with medical equipment, ensuring patient comfort, and assisting in positioning during examinations. Prepare the necessary instruments and materials for each procedure.

Patient Monitoring: Monitor and record patients' vital signs before, during, and after procedures. Report any changes or concerns to the clinical team and provide appropriate support to patients recovering from procedures.

Post-Consultation Care: Assist patients with dressing, ensuring they have all necessary aftercare instructions, and offer support and reassurance following consultations or procedures. Provide advice to patients about follow-up appointments and any ongoing care needs.

Emotional and Psychological Support: Provide emotional support to patients, ensuring they feel comfortable and reassured during their appointment. Offer sensitive support, especially in cases where patients may be experiencing anxiety or stress related to gynaecological health.

Infection Control and Hygiene: Ensure that infection control protocols are followed rigorously, maintaining a clean and sterile environment. Clean and prepare consultation rooms and equipment as required, and ensure the safe handling of medical waste.
