Salter Grange is actively recruiting an experienced and talented Quantity Surveyor to join a dynamic project team on a landmark project in London.
 
The ideal Quantity Surveyor would have worked with a large subcontractor or have an existing Main Contracting background, having managed sizable projects while working for reputable contractors.
 
The successful Quantity Surveyor will play a key role in supporting the site project team on all quantity surveying duties on your projects to ensure all commercial & contractual commitments are met & value is maximized

Quantity Surveyor Responsibilities:

Oversee daily commercial and contractual operations.
Perform contract administration tasks, including managing changes and maintaining relevant logs (e.g., Change Order Log).
Negotiate and secure the best value for subcontract orders.
Assist in managing project budgets, cost plans, and feasibility studies as needed.
Review and approve interim and final submissions from subcontractors, ensuring compliance with the Construction Contracts Act.
Conduct pre-appointment meetings with subcontractors to clearly define scope and appoint them according to FMC subcontract terms and main contract requirements to minimize contractual risks.
Negotiate, draft, and submit final accounts, including claims for loss and expense, delays, disruptions, and time extensions. 
Quantity Surveyor Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying & Construction Economics and or an equivalent degree
3-5 years' of quantity surveying experience
Demonstrates a knowledge and understanding of the various forms of contract used in the construction industry (RIAI, FIDIC, JCT etc.)
Strong numeracy and report writing skills
Strong negotiation & conflict management skills and Process oriented with focus on results.
