Solution 47 Recruitment are supporting a client who requires a Skilled Design Technician.

Due to ongoing high demand, we are seeking a skilled Design Technician with experience in the Structural Steel sector to join our clients dynamic team. You will have the opportunity to work in a business with on-site manufacturing facilities, allowing you to engage with projects from initial client meetings through site surveys, design, and Quality Assurance.

Key Responsibilities:

* Design mezzanine floors, staircases, and balustrade systems.

* Create preliminary concept designs and develop them into final manufacturing detail and construction drawings using Autodesk Advance Steel.

* Collaborate closely with Project Managers and the Sales Team to ensure timely and accurate project designs.

* Conduct material take-offs and prepare material lists for pricing.

* Develop and maintain BIM models.

* Generate workshop manufacturing drawings and DXF files for laser cutting.

* Work with workshop supervisors to identify and resolve issues.

* Coordinate with the Operations Manager to program and prioritize the manufacturing schedule.

* Liaise with clients to address and resolve queries.

* Maintain control of manufacturing documents and records in accordance with ISO Quality Management Systems.

Requirements:

* Previous experience in the Structural Steel sector is essential.

* Proficiency in Autodesk Advance Steel.

* Familiarity with ISO Quality Management Systems is highly beneficial; training can be provided.

* Experience with site surveys is advantageous.

* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
