My client are a well-established firm near Edgware, known for delivering exceptional financial solutions to a diverse client base. They're now seeking a skilled and proactive Senior Payroll Officer to join our friendly and supportive team.

The Role:As their Senior Payroll Officer you'll play a pivotal role in leading and managing our payroll operations, ensuring seamless service delivery to our clients. This is a varied and engaging position where you'll have the opportunity to work with a wide range of clients, making a real impact on their businesses.

  • Lead and oversee the payroll department, ensuring accurate and timely processing of monthly payrolls for a portfolio of 170+ clients.
  • Act as the first point of contact for payroll-related client queries, delivering exceptional service and building strong client relationships.
  • Manage client communications via phone and email, addressing their payroll needs efficiently and professionally.
  • Support with filings to Companies House, including company secretarial services, and assist with client registrations and HMRC matters.

What We're Looking For:

  • A minimum of 5 years' payroll experience, ideally gained within an accountancy or outsourced finance practice.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to build and maintain client relationships.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Experience with Moneysoft software is advantageous but not essential.
  • A proactive, self-motivated individual who thrives in a small team environment.
  • Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
