What You Will Do
We are looking for a Site Supervisor – Mechanical Fire Protection to oversee the installation and maintenance of fire protection systems. This role combines hands-on engineering with site management responsibilities to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.

How You Will Do It
Site Coordination & Supervision:
- Oversee daily site operations, ensuring smooth project execution
- Interface with clients and subcontractors to coordinate work and resolve any site issues.
- Ensure health and safety compliance for all operatives on-site, including subcontractors.
- Provide regular progress updates to project managers, identifying potential issues and delays.
- Ensure all work is completed in compliance with LPC, NFPA, British Standards, and other relevant regulations.
Installation & Maintenance:
- Actively participate in the installation, maintenance, and commissioning of mechanical fire protection systems, including deluge systems, sprinkler systems, and extinguishing systems.
- Diagnose and repair faults within fire protection systems to maintain operational integrity.
What We Are Looking For
Essential:
- Mechanical Fire Protection Experience: Proven experience in service or maintenance roles within fire protection. Candidates with pipe fitting installation experience in other industries will also be considered
- Health & Safety Compliance: Strong understanding of HSE regulations, with hands-on site safety management experience
- Technical Proficiency: Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals related to fire protection systems.
- Driving & Travel: Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the UK, with regular stays away from home (Monday–Friday) as required.
- Communication & Coordination Skills: Strong ability to collaborate with engineers, contractors, and clients to ensure successful project completion.
Desirable:
- Familiarity with CDM regulations and principal contractor duties.
- Certifications such as SMSTS, IOSH, Safety Passport, CSCS, IPAF, PASMA, Slinging, Rigging, Banksman.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and site reporting tools.
