My client is a civil engineering and groundworks contractor delivering infrastructure projects across sectors like utilities, groundworks, and public works. Committed to safety and customer satisfaction, they are seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their team as they continue to expand.

Key Responsibilities:

* Assist in preparing tender documents and quotations for customers.

* Place orders for labour, plant, and materials.

* Help prepare valuations of work for payment and agree them with clients.

Qualifications and Skills:

* Minimum of 2 years' experience in quantity surveying, preferably in the civil engineering or construction sector. Recent graduates with relevant qualifications are also encouraged to apply.

* HNC in Construction and the Built Environment as a minimum.

* Good numerical and analytical skills.

* Strong verbal and written communication skills.

* Attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure.

* Able to identify issues and propose effective solutions.

* A valid UK driving licence is desirable as site visits will be required.
