About the Role

As Finance Director, you will be responsible for:

Leading on all aspects of financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.

Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and best practices in the education sector.

*

Providing strategic financial guidance to the Headteacher and Governing Body.

*

Managing payroll, procurement, and financial controls to ensure efficiency and value for money.

*

Identifying and securing additional funding opportunities, including grants and income generation.

*

Overseeing risk management and financial sustainability planning.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

*

Is a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA) or has equivalent senior finance experience.

*

Has strong leadership and strategic financial management skills.

*

Has experience working in education, public sector, or a similarly regulated environment (desirable but not essential).

*

Is proactive, detail-oriented, and confident in managing budgets and financial strategy.

*

Can work effectively as part of the extended senior leadership team, contributing to the school's overall success.
