SEN Teaching Assistant

We are recruiting on behalf of a Primary School based in the town of Smeeth in Ashford as they are looking for 3 x Teaching Assistants to start throughout September into October. Subject to compliance.

The school in question has fantastic support mechanisms and facilities for their staff, a wonderful and rewarding environment with several options to progress within the school for the right candidates.

Position 1: The school are looking for someone with advanced knowledge of supporting students with ASD. You would be supporting a Year 1 boy with ASD 1:1 within a classroom setting.

Position 2: The school are looking for someone who has strong experience supporting pupils with challenging behaviour. They require support for a Year 2 boy with ADHD and Challenging Behaviour support needs.

Position 3: The school are looking for a general 'Teaching Assistant' supporting students in Years 5 and 6. They require somebody who has an understanding of the KS2 academic level support needs.

There is a highly competitive rate of pay between £85 and £90 per day, for working hours of 8.30am - 3.30pm.

Working days are Monday-Friday term time only.

Requirements of the role are,

· Experience supporting students with either, ASD, ADHD, GDD or SPlg

· Experience working with students that have challenging behaviour

· For the class TA role, candidates who have General TA experience combined with a SEN support background would be advantageous

· Experience supporting students in 1:1 and small groups (any interventions experience is advantageous) in Numeracy and Literacy.

· Working under the guidance of the classroom Teacher and helping to prepare and plan daily resources for learning.
