The Role:
Are you a numbers enthusiast with a keen eye for detail? Do you thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment? They are seeking a highly motivated Accounts Assistant to join their bustling office. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a diverse portfolio of clients, ranging from ambitious startups to established multi million-pound enterprises.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting with the preparation of financial statements and reports for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
- Managing client bookkeeping, payroll and VAT
- Reconciling accounts and bank statements
- Supporting the preparation of tax returns and compliance documentation
- Liaising with clients to resolve queries and provide exceptional service
- Contributing to month-end and year-end closing processes
- Participating in the implementation of new accounting systems and processes
Requirements:
- AAT part-qualified or working towards ACA qualification
- Previous experience in an accountancy practice is essential
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks, Sage, Xero)
- A proactive attitude and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
