About the Role:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Design and Technology Teacher to join a dynamic and forward-thinking secondary school in South East London. This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to contribute to an inspiring learning environment and make a real difference in the lives of young people.

As a DT Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and innovative lessons across a range of design and technology subjects, including resistant materials, electronics, textiles, and product design. You will work closely with a supportive team of teachers, ensuring students develop the practical skills, creativity, and problem-solving abilities they need for success in their future careers.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons in Design and Technology, catering to a range of learning abilities.
Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student creativity and learning.
Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support to ensure continuous development.
Prepare and maintain resources, equipment, and classroom displays.
Collaborate with colleagues in the department and across the school to contribute to a whole-school ethos.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current developments and best practices in teaching Design and Technology.
Person Specification:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
Experience teaching Design and Technology at secondary level (KS3/KS4).
Strong subject knowledge across a range of DT disciplines.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students.
A positive, creative, and proactive approach to teaching.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
DBS check will be required.
