Our client who provides quality care for older people in luxurious surroundings, is looking for chef on a 3 months contract. They are dedicated to creating a warm and welcoming environment where residents can enjoy a high standard of living and exceptional care.

As an experienced Chef you will be providing high-quality meals for around 70 residents. This role is crucial in ensuring the residents enjoy nutritious and delicious meals every day.

Key Responsibilities:

* Prepare and cook high-quality meals for approximately 70 residents, catering to various dietary requirements.

* Work alongside another chef and kitchen assistants to ensure smooth kitchen operations.

* Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen.

* Ensure all meals are prepared in accordance with health and safety regulations.

* Plan and prepare menus in collaboration with the care home management.

* Monitor stock levels and order supplies as needed.

* Ensure all kitchen equipment is used safely and maintained properly.

Requirements:

* Proven experience as a chef, preferably in a care home or similar setting.

* Ability to cook a variety of meals, including those that meet specific dietary needs.

* Strong organizational and time management skills.

* Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

* Enhanced DBS on the update service preferred.

* Food Safety or Cooking Diploma required.

* Commitment to maintaining high standards of food quality and hygiene.
