1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant
We are looking for several 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistants to provide support for pupils in group situations and one-to-one, Supervise pupils, Direct pupils, and Use technical resources to support teaching and learning.
* Hours: 8.30am to 3.45pm, Monday to Friday, Term Time Only
* Salary: £85 - £100 per day PAYE, depending on experience
* Duration: Contract Temp>Perm
* Location: Surrey
* Start: ASAP
You will need to have:
* Classroom experience
* Safeguarding training
* SEN Experience
Duties and Responsibilities to include:
* Direct, supervise and provide particular support for pupils, including those with special needs, ensuring their safety and access to learning activities.
* Establish good professional relationships with pupils and interact with them according to individual needs.
* Promote British values and the inclusion and acceptance of all pupils.
* Encourage pupils to interact with others and engage in activities led by the teacher.
* Support pupils who exhibit challenging behaviour by helping them to recognise triggers and implement de-escalation techniques.
* Deliver intervention programmes to individuals or groups of children.
* Set challenging and demanding expectations and promote self-esteem and independence.
* Provide feedback to pupils in relation to progress and achievement under guidance of the teacher.
* As appropriate, look after sick or upset pupils administering basic first aid as required.
* Attend to the physical needs of pupils.
* Supervise pupils during break times and plan and organise activities if required.
