HR Officer Working directly for the Company Secretary/Head of HR, the HR Officer will be responsible for providing generalist and advisory HR support to managers and ad hoc project / administrative work as required.  KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES      MAIN TASKS CARRY OUT TO ACHIEVE ACCOUNTABILITIES       Provide effective day to day operational HR advice and support to specific managers to enable them to manage their own staff successfully       
·       Respond to queries from the managers in a timely manner, 
·       Keep a record of all enquiries, advice given and ongoing action 
·       Provide guidance that highlights the strict letter of HR law, whilst providing practical solutions and options that factor in the possible commercial risks 
·       Develop effective relationships with the managers 
·       Escalate more serious and potentially contentious HR issues to the Company Secretary / Head of HR 
·       Attend meetings with managers and staff members as required       Manage specific HR requirements and assist with ad hoc projects / administrative work       
·       Assist in carrying out subject access request investigations 
·       Complete references on behalf of the Company 
·       Action exit surveys, monitor and collate relevant info 
·       Draft employment contracts, agreements, and letters 
·       Pension scheme administration 
·       Maintain departmental HR folders and files, updating as required       HR Cloud       
·       Maintenance of personnel records 
·       General housekeeping, 
·       Training of staff in use of system 
·       Ensuring records are up to date 
·       Ensuring all employment responsibilities are met       Contribute, from an HR perspective, to the development of people across the business       
·       Update HR Policies and Procedures as required 
·       Development of on-boarding/exit processes 
·       Administer ad hoc questionnaires       Support the work and development of the wider Company Secretarial/Payroll/HR team       
·       Assist the team with a variety of matters as required, especially during busy times of the year
·        
·       Administration and other ad hoc work as required.    The successful candidate will need: 
·       Proven experience in an HR or related role
·       Excellent organisational skills, with an ability to prioritise important projects
·       Strong communication skills
·       Drive
·       Good standard of education, preferably to degree or equivalent level
·       Excellent English, written and spoken
·       Discretion - able to work appropriately with confidential and sensitive information
·       Willingness to learn and develop new skills, open to ideas/change
·       Positive ‘can-do’ attitude
·       Able to work as part of a team as well as independently within specified guidelines
·       Passionate about business.
