About the role

This is an exciting opportunity within our service, Knowsley Moving Forward Together, for an IPS Employment Specialist following the IPS (Individual Placement and Support) model. As an IPS Employment Specialist, you will play a vital role in helping people with mental health needs to find meaningful and fulfilling employment.

You will work directly with clinicians, employers, and other external agencies to secure employment opportunities related to a person's preferences and to support individuals to remain in employment as part of their recovery. As an IPS Employment Specialist, you will be making a genuine impact to the lives of people using our services by supporting them to work towards their employment goals.

As an IPS Employment Specialist, you will be based with up to two clinical teams in Knowsley. You will also provide appointments in the community and at our community base in Huyton.

About you

With experience of supporting individuals with a range of mental health needs, you will be dedicated to empowering individuals to identify and overcome barriers related to their goals to support them to work towards their recovery.

You will have experience of working with individuals to help them to achieve their employment goals and have the ability to engage with employers to explore employment opportunities and promote good mental health in the workplace.

You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be able to demonstrate an understanding of sensitive and complex issues relating to individuals' mental health needs. You will be able to plan and prioritise your workload to meet the demands of an active and varied caseload. You will be able to demonstrate good IT skills enabling you to perform all relevant administrative duties to support service provision.
