Are you either an experienced Financial Administrator, or a recent school leaver or graduate looking to receive training in a Financial Administrator role? Are you looking for a role which is a 12 month fixed term contract (maternity cover) which is very likely to turn permanent? Based in the internal finance team, you will provide both financial and administration support to the firm (a medium size accountancy practice firm) to assist with the smooth running of day to day tasks. You will work in an experienced and friendly team and work directly with the Finance Manager and Practice Manager. Financial duties will include: Bookkeeping (sales ledger, purchase ledger, data entry, bank reconciliations, account statements and summaries, and assisting with the production of VAT returns and monthly management reports such as WIP, fees billed and debtor reports. Administration duties will include: maintaining the time recording system for all staff, processing staff timesheets, reception cover and other ad hoc admin tasks. Your role will be varied, interesting and training will be provided. The firm uses Xero for financial duties and CCH for time keeping.
To be considered for this new role (November 2024) you will either already be in a Financial Administration position and looking for your next challenge, or you could be a recent school leaver or graduate looking to gain financial experience, training and support in a good quality accountancy firm. If you don’t have experience, you must have strong academics ideally in maths related subjects. You must be a team player, have good communication skills and an eye for detail. You must be happy to carry out a 12 month maternity cover position, which is very likeable to turn permanent.
