Our client is a small, friendly and incredibly successful bunch!
They are a mid-sized firm with very low staff-turnover (the newest team member was 5 years ago!). They have recently won several large projects in London and the home counties and are currently seeking an ambitious and driven Junior / Intermediate Quantity Surveyor ideally with estimating experience, to join their growing team.
As a Quantity Surveying Estimator, you will play a crucial role in generating detailed and accurate quotes for both new and ongoing projects based on client drawings and specifications and delivering projects within budget. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in quantity surveying, a keen eye for detail, and excellent communication skills.

Job Type: Permanent
Salary: £35,000-£55,000 pa depending on experience
Location: Office based in Hertfordshire but will also be required to visit sites in London generally up to twice a week.
Main responsibilities:
* Undertaking the preparation and processing of quotations, bids, and tenders.
* Produce bill of quantities for final submission.
* To carry out monthly valuations of work in progress.
* Measure, value, submit and negotiate contract variations.
* Handle multiple projects simultaneously.
* Provide advice to project staff on commercial and contractual matters and attend site when required.
* Assist in the process of reviewing and processing subcontractors payment applications.
* Compliance with and assistance in helping promote the Health and Safety policy.
Experience / Qualifications needed:
* Degree in quantity surveying or associated construction field ideal but not essential
* Surveying/estimating experience 1+ years

* Ability to use own initiative.
* Ability to work both independently with minimal supervision and cohesively as part of a team.
* Self motivated and proactive.
* Professional presentation.
* Must be dynamic, professional, and forward thinking.
* Responsive to meet tender submission deadlines.
* Driving licence is essential due to office location
