Class Teacher (English Specialist) - Salary: Teachers Main/Upper pay scales + SEN Allowance

We are seeking to appoint outstanding and energetic Class Teachers with a specialism in English to join our team at a new satellite Key Stage 4 provision in Brighton. The ideal candidate will be capable of delivering English at both GCSE and Functional Skills level and, desirably, willing to teach additional subjects.
Day to Day of the role: - Deliver high-quality English lessons to Key Stage 4 pupils, preparing them for GCSE and Functional Skills assessments.
- Develop and implement individualised education plans to meet the specific needs of each pupil.
- Foster a nurturing, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that supports pupils’ emotional and academic growth.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external agencies to support the overall development of pupils.
- Contribute to the school’s ethos of high expectations and a climate of possibility, ensuring each child is well-prepared for their post-16 journey.
- Coordinate work experience opportunities for pupils, enhancing their employability and practical skills.
Required Skills & Qualifications: - Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialism in English.
- Experience in delivering English at GCSE and Functional Skills level.
- Understanding of the strategies required to manage complex behaviours effectively.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with staff, pupils, and parents.
- Enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references.
- Right to live and work in the United Kingdom.
