Overview

Our client is seeking a dynamic CAD Technician to join their team. As a CAD Technician, you will be responsible for producing drawings using 2D AutoCAD, preparing parts lists, and assisting with material procurement. You will also play a key role in maintaining company procedures, supporting client queries, and identifying training needs for career progression.

Responsibilities

Produce drawings using 2D AutoCAD
Prepare parts lists
Assist with the procurement of materials on a competitive price basis
Document, file, and prepare O&M manuals
Prepare quotations within deadlines
Provide feedback on commercial trends and market requirements
Support client queries, build rapport, and establish customer loyalty
Liaise at all levels, from customers to management team and suppliers
Ensure all products are purchased in compliance with mandatory requirements
Maintain company procedures and improve where possible
Identify training needs to assist career progression and departmental efficiency

Qualifications

Proficiency in 2D AutoCAD
Strong attention to detail
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Proactive and self-motivated
Knowledge of procurement processes is a plus

Day-to-day

As a CAD Technician, you will spend your days producing drawings, preparing parts lists, liaising with various stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with procurement requirements. You will also have the opportunity to provide valuable feedback on market trends and contribute to the improvement of company procedures.
