Description

The Finance Business Partner will report to a Senior Finance Business Partner and be responsible for:

• Building relationships with business areas and service delivery leads to support capability leads, influencing managers and leaders and providing robust financial analysis to aid decision making.
• Identifying key risks and opportunities through analysis regarding actual results and forecasts to ensure the organisation achieves it goals, whilst continually reducing costs and improving performance.
• Designing, building and maintaining costing models
• Producing national budgets and strategic plans, including updating the Medium Term Financial Plan and reviewing the financial implications of funding bids to Government
• Ensuring Value for Money by seeking commercial opportunities including income generation and cost recovery

Profile

The successful Finance Business Partner will have worked in a similar role within a Public Sector Department or Arms Length Body providing financial analytical support, including budgeting, forecasting and management reporting. This would include working closely with finance and non-finance stakeholders to achieve business outcomes.

Ideally you will be a Qualified Accountant, or actively working towards the final stages of your studies.

A confident user of Excel is needed for this position.

Job Offer

A competitive salary of £58,000 - £63,000 depending on experience, plus an excellent benefits package including the opportunity to join a civil service pension scheme.

This is a hybrid position where you will be required to work in the office approximately two days a week.
