We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join an expanding team working for a company who provide automation materials handling and warehouse management software solutions for warehouse operations.

Be a key member in the overall Engineering team and Project delivery team, working co-operatively and proactively to ensure projects are delivered on time, on quality and on cost.

Senior Electrical Design Engineer

£50,000 - £60,000 + £5k Car Allowance + Matched Pension + 33 Days Holiday

Produce high quality electrical designs that meet project requirements & standards
Produce EPlan drawings suitable for use by the installation and service support teams
Produce technical documentation required to support other departments in the execution of their tasks
Proactively work with Engineering, procurement, project management and installations to ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget and scope.
Investigate and resolve any technical issues that are flagged within electrical design
Attend project sites to inspect the electrical installation against required standards
Support colleagues around the business including, but not limited to, attending customer meetings, customer sites, internal project meetings, supplier meetings
Ensure you meet all the requirements of company H&S and Quality Procedures in the execution of your work
Keep developing yourself and your skills to ensure your technical skills remain current
Ensure designs produced comply with all relevant engineering standards
Senior Electrical Design Engineer - The Person:

Formal Qualification in Electrical Engineering - Preferred Degree, acceptable HND/HNC with suitable relevant design experience
Recent experience of EPlan P8
High competence in Electrical Design engineering, including conducting appropriate calculations, generating specifications, producing CAD drawings using EPlan, developing design concepts, resolving technical design issues.
Teamwork focused individual who has strong resilience and able to manage conflicting priorities
A strong can-do attitude and willingness to step in and help resolve complex problems when required
Strong eye for detail and a natural interest in understanding how equipment works
Someone who takes pride in producing a good quality job and growing their team
Someone willing to spend time on project sites, client sites, supplier sites as required to ensure we deliver our projects
Located in Northampton, this role would be commutable from Wellingborough, Corby, Market Harborough and surrounding areas or Work from Home / Remote across the UK.
