Our client is looking for a Deputy Manager to work in a children's home in Moseley, supporting children and young people aged 7- 18.

The home operates 24 hours a day, with a shift pattern of 8 am-11 pm, with some sleep-ins required. The role will entail 2-3 shifts per week, including weekends.

Duties of the Deputy Manager:

Working within a children's home supporting young people and children aged 7-18 years
Coordinating and monitoring staffing levels within the home to meet individual needs.
Assisting with the company's selection and recruitment process.
Assisting the Registered Manager in providing operational management of the staff team
Organising, delivering and co-ordinating induction, supervision, appraisal, and support to individual staff
Reviewing the implementation of care plans in line with legislation and company guidance.
Chairing meetings where appropriate.
Acting as a designated person in charge in the Registered Manager's absence.
Implementing the relevant safeguarding procedure
Ensuring the protection and welfare of young people
Liaising with other professional agencies.
Promoting contact between young people and family members.
Managing identified budgets.
Chairing staff meetings and young people's meetings
Requirements of the Deputy Manager:

Enhanced DBS Desirable
UK Driving Licence and access to own vehicle
NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent
