£12m Project

Exciting opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to lead a £12m project in Kilburn which is part of a £50m major works framework in the London Borough of Brent. You will deliver the 18 storeys, 80 week project from procurement through to final account reporting to a Commercial Manager.

Our client is a top 3 contractor within the affordable housing planned maintenance sector. This is an exciting project in Kilburn with varied scopes of works including:

* Structural repairs

* Window and door replacements

* Internal and external decs

* Soil stack replacements

* Fire safety works

* Roof and walkway renewals

* External wall insulation

* Kitchen & bathroom replacements

* Lift replacements

* M&E - Electrics, communal heating installation, domestic extract ventilation installation, boosted cold water supply

* Sprinkler system installation

The Role:

We are looking for a Quantity Surveyor to work with one of the UK's Leading Property Services companies. They specialise in both planned and responsive works for RSL'S (registered social landlords) and pride themselves as a market leader. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in social housing projects and a keen eye for detail. You will play a crucial role in managing costs, ensuring value for money, and maintaining the highest standards throughout the project lifecycle.

Duties:

* Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for social housing projects.

* Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments.

* Manage tender processes and negotiate contracts.

* Monitor project progress and control costs.

* Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and contractual requirements.

* Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders.

* Provide regular financial reports and updates to senior management.

Requirements:

* Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or related field would be preferred but not essential.

* Minimum of 4 years of experience in Quantity Surveying, preferably within social housing.

* Strong knowledge of construction contracts and procurement processes.
