Job Description: Project Director - PCSA & Construction Oversight for Large RC Frame Project

Overview:
We are recruiting an experienced and strategic Project Director to lead the Pre-Construction Services Agreement (PCSA) phase and subsequent delivery of a large RC Frame project in London. This role offers the opportunity to take full ownership of a significant development from pre-construction through to completion, playing a key role in the successful delivery of a landmark project.

Key Responsibilities:

PCSA Phase (8-9 months):

* Oversee all pre-construction activities, including design development, cost planning, program preparation, and procurement strategies.

* Lead and coordinate with design consultants, stakeholders, and the client to ensure all PCSA deliverables are achieved on time and within budget.

* Identify and manage risks, providing solutions to mitigate potential issues during the PCSA stage.

* Negotiate with key stakeholders, including suppliers and subcontractors, to ensure readiness for the construction phase.

* Work closely with the commercial team to finalize contract terms and project budgets.

Construction Phase:

* Take full responsibility for the delivery of the RC Frame project, ensuring the program, budget, quality, and safety targets are achieved.

* Lead a multidisciplinary project team, including project managers, site managers, engineers, and commercial staff.

* Build strong relationships with the client and all stakeholders, acting as the primary point of contact throughout the project lifecycle.

* Implement robust project governance, ensuring compliance with regulatory, contractual, and quality standards.

* Monitor progress, identifying and addressing issues proactively to maintain program and budget alignment.

* Chair project review meetings, providing clear updates to senior management and stakeholders.

Qualifications and Experience:

* Proven experience as a Project Director or senior project leader delivering large-scale RC Frame projects.

* Extensive knowledge of both pre-construction and construction phases, including PCSA processes, design management, and procurement.

* Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and manage large teams and complex stakeholder relationships.

* Exceptional commercial acumen and ability to manage project budgets effectively.

* Demonstrable expertise in risk management and problem-solving.

* Degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field preferred.

* SMSTS, CSCS (Black Card), and First Aid certifications are essential
