Job Description: Heavy Vehicle Chassis & Structural Repair Technician

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Vehicle Chassis & Structural Repair Technician to join our team in Wednesbury. If you have experience working with trailers, rigid bodies, and are skilled in structural welding, including repairing cant rails and sidewalls or fixing chassis cracks, this is the perfect opportunity for you. You will be working with a variety of heavy vehicles, focusing on chassis and structural repairs to ensure they meet high industry standards.

Key Responsibilities: Heavy Vehicle Chassis & Structural Repair Technician

Change cant rails and repair sidewalls on heavy vehicles, including trailers and rigid bodies.
Carry out structural repairs, including welding chassis cracks and replacing damaged components.
Perform welding of various structural elements, ensuring all repairs are carried out to the highest standards.
Ensure that all work is completed efficiently, with an emphasis on safety and quality.
Work with trailers, rigid bodies, and other heavy vehicle components to perform repairs and replacements.
Document all repairs and ensure proper records are kept for future reference.
Collaborate with a team to ensure timely completion of tasks while maintaining a high standard of workmanship.
What We Are Looking For: Heavy Vehicle Chassis & Structural Repair Technician

Proven experience as a Heavy Vehicle Chassis & Structural Repair Technician or similar role.
Extensive experience working on trailers, rigid bodies, and other heavy vehicles.
Strong welding skills, particularly in chassis repairs and fixing structural damage.
Experience in changing cant rails, repairing sidewalls, and addressing chassis cracks.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
A full UK driving license is preferred but not essential.
Relevant qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Vehicle Maintenance or Engineering would be advantageous.
