Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with autism? GSL Education are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Autism Teacher to join a local school based in Poole starting from January 2025.

About the Role:

As an Autism Teacher, you will provide tailored support to students with autism, fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom environment. Your role will involve creating individualised learning plans, promoting social and emotional development, and ensuring students' needs are met with patience and understanding.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement individualised education plans (IEPs) tailored to the needs of students with autism.
Use evidence-based teaching methods and strategies to support students' academic, social, and emotional development.
Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and other educational professionals to ensure a holistic approach to each student's progress.
Create a positive, structured, and engaging classroom environment.
Monitor and assess student progress regularly, adjusting teaching strategies as needed.
Qualifications:

Bachelor's or master's degree in special education, Psychology, or a related field.
Experience of working with students is preferred.
Strong understanding of autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and best practices in teaching children with ASD.
Excellent communication, patience, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work effectively within a collaborative team.
