We are currently working with a leading UK Managed services provider to recruit an Interim Business Development Manager on a competitive day rate, based remotely with travel as and when required.

The role:

The Business Development Manager will implement an effective sales programme and approach that expands on the current BPO client base, strengthens potential new client relationships, and actively seeks out other business and supplier opportunities that can drive revenue and margin within the sector

Our Business Development Manager's main responsibility is to generate and develop new business opportunities through a comprehensive sales cycle. This will include utilising a broad network of industry contacts, introducing and closing new business opportunities. The aim is to build a sales pipeline which will utilise BPO capability in the Public Sector and look to diversify into horizontal markets, such as the Private sector. This will include but not limited to activities, such as customer service, casework, complaint handling, quality assurance and back-office based functions.

Embracing the wider digital transformation capabilities through the use of conversational AI, automation and technology enhancements will form part of the Business Development Manager's toolkit to be able to offer a varied suite of services available to the market.

They will partner with multiple internal departments to drive measurable growth results that benefit our business and will work closely with Service Delivery, Support & Enablement, Governance, Client and Bid Management functions.

Candidate requirements:

* Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales or business development in the BPO industry UK / Offshore

* Excellent reputation and networking contacts

* Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets

* Ability to sell end to end solutions including outsourced contact centre solutions.

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

* Confident negotiator and ability to 'close the deal'

* A high level of knowledge of contact centre technology, customer contact strategies and market propositions
