Role Summary:We are seeking a Band 6 Dietitian to join our dynamic team at Weston General Hospital. This role will involve providing comprehensive dietetic assessments, nutritional advice, and care planning for a diverse patient population. You will work closely with other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality, evidence-based nutrition care across various settings within the hospital.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough dietetic assessments and develop individualized nutrition care plans for patients.
  • Provide dietary advice and education to patients and their families, tailoring recommendations to specific medical conditions and nutritional needs.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of nutritional interventions, adjusting care plans as necessary.
  • Participate in clinical audits, research projects, and quality improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Degree in Dietetics or equivalent qualification and registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Experience in a clinical setting, with the ability to assess and manage a diverse range of medical conditions.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective patient education and teamwork.
  • Ability to work autonomously while also contributing to a collaborative team environment.
