This is a large, award-winning consultancy in their search for an experienced Civil Engineer to join their esteemed drainage infrastructure civils team. As an employee-owned trust, they empower their staff to shape the company's direction and success. The London office has 75 people and overall, there are 58 people in the civils and structures team. The civils team consists of 15 people that comprise of a mix of apprentices, graduates, engineers and technicians.The project sectors you will be working on vary from residential , commercial to schools and hospitals which range in size from medium to large. As a Senior Civil Engineer, you will be responsible for:-        Producing schematic/concept designs and detailed designs of drainage and highways using Civils 3D-        Undertaking drainage and Sustainable Drainage Systems (SUDS) designs using Causeway Flow-        Preparing Flood Risk Assessments and Drainage Strategy reports for planning-        Collaborating with other construction professionals in design development and project management as necessary-        Mentoring and resourcing junior team members-        Project leader and manager of project financesMain requirements:-        Someone with good Civils 3D or equivalent with drainage networks experience -        Experience of sustainable drainage systems concept and detailed design - essential-        Highways design -S278/S38 agreements – desirable-        Experience of mentoring and resourcing junior team members with a proactive approach-        Line management experience to support team members in their career development-        Professionally qualified or demonstrably working towards professional qualification-        Interest in working in a variety of sectors supporting NHS, Department for Education and private sector-        Experience of liaising with authorities and design team members with problem solving approachWhy Join?Flexible working arrangementsFamily feel cultureBeing part of an Employee-owned TrustAward-winning Learning & Development teamGenerous holiday allowance, including birthday holiday and option to purchase additional holidaysHybrid working policyHealth cash plan and wellness programWorkplace nursery schemeTechnology benefitsLife assurance and long-term illness protectionEnhanced maternity payCompany lodge holidaysCycle to work scheme and onsite facilitiesCompany awards, walking weekends, and away days
