Our client is a small, growing owner managed Chartered Certified Accountancy practice based in Quedgeley, Gloucester.

Job description

They currently have a vacancy for fully qualified AAT candidate or an ACCA trainee. Applicants will have gained at least two years’ experience within an established accountancy practice preparing vat returns, accounts, and management accounts.

Role and responsibilities

• Preparation of year end accounts and working papers for limited companies, partnerships and sole traders.
• Preparation of self-assessment tax returns and corporation tax returns.
• Bookkeeping, preparation of VAT returns, management accounts and ad-hoc support for a growing and varied portfolio of clients.
• Being the first port of call for client's bookkeeping matters and therefore, able to work on your own initiative.
• Having a working knowledge of IRIS accounting software is preferable but not essential.
• Skills in Sage 50 and varied cloud based bookkeeping packages and basic knowledge of excel are essential.

Key requirements

• AAT fully qualified or ACCA part qualified.
• 2-year accounting experience

Position

• Full-time, Permanent, but part-time would be considered for the right candidate

Salary

• £27,500.00-£35,000.00 per year depending on experience
