Summary

SPS Technologies are working in partnership as they look to increase their team. Due to retirement of long-standing employees and a large aerospace contract, they need additional machinist to join the thread roll department team on a permanent basis.

The Job

Operating and running Thread Roll machines
Using various measuring gauges - verniers, shadow graphs etc
Reading and working from engineering drawings.
Working to customer specifications
General Housekeeping duties

The Candidate

· Must be mechanically minded - this may suit a mechanic / mechanical fitter or assembler

· Must be clearly conversant in English

· Physically fit as there is a lot of manual work

Must be organised and able to work to a process and ensure stock is moved correctly in specific batches
Able to work in imperial measurementsAble to quality check using a variety of tools
