Head of IT & Digital Solutions - INDEPENDENT SCHOOL - SURREY - £55-60K + excellent benefits Our client, a prestigious independent school for students aged 11-18, located in a beautiful estate in Surrey with easy access to central London. The school offers an exceptional learning environment with a strong focus on academic excellence, emotional well-being, and social development. There are < 300 students at the school, consequently limited class sizes allow for personalised attention and a more vibrant learning environment. ESP is seeking experienced Senior IT Technicians, Network Managers, and/or Assistant IT Managers ideally within the Education sector who are ready to propel their careers and lead the schools' transitions to the various digital solutions. As the Head of IT & Digital Solutions, you'll be able to help fashion the school’s digital future, creating a strategy that will ultimately skill-up students and teachers alike. This role will see you collaborating with the school leadership, helping to design a digital roadmap that pushes academic excellence and operational efficiency. This will be your opportunity to shine with your team - being creative and using your technical` know-how to advance the education technology needed. We are looking for someone with a proven track record of success, ideally with experience in an educational setting. Your leadership skills, coupled with your technical expertise ( Microsoft 365, cybersecurity, and a desire for innovation) will be instrumental in propelling the school to the forefront of digital learning.
The Role: - You'll oversee everything from robust networks and top-notch security to seamless device management, ensuring technology empowers, not hinders, the learning experience.
- Turn data insights into actionable strategies, using information to optimise school functions and guide informed decision-making.
- Lead and inspire your IT team, nurturing a collaborative environment where continuous learning is key.
- Partner with educators to integrate technology seamlessly within the curriculum, making learning engaging and effective.
Essential /Desired Skills:
- Microsoft Accreditations
- Experience with Aruba or similar technologies
- Experience with MIS systems such as iSAMs /Managebac/OpenApply
- Experienced within digital learning.
- Excellent Front-of-House skills - able to communicate and get the 'buy-in’ from non-technical staff
