About the Role

We are seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our team in the East Midlands. This role is ideal for a professional with strong mechanical expertise and a preference for working with electrical systems. You'll play a key part in maintaining and optimizing our equipment and ensuring smooth operations.

Key Responsibilities

* Perform planned and reactive maintenance on mechanical systems and equipment, with a focus on those with electrical components.

* Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults to minimize downtime.

* Ensure equipment operates at optimal efficiency by conducting regular inspections and preventative maintenance.

* Collaborate with other engineering teams to support system upgrades and installations.

* Maintain accurate maintenance logs and technical documentation.

* Adhere to health and safety regulations and promote a safe working environment.

Qualifications and Experience

* Experience: Proven background in mechanical maintenance with some electrical experience or bias.

* Education: NVQ Level 3, HNC, or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.

* Technical Skills:

* Strong mechanical maintenance skills with knowledge of electrical systems.

* Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams, schematics, and manuals.

* Experience with PLC systems is a plus but not essential.

* Problem-Solving: Capable of diagnosing complex issues and implementing effective solutions.

* Teamwork: Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a team.
