Shift Plant Operator- Leicestershire

A Biomass Gasification facility in Leicestershire is seeking an experienced Shift Plant Operator to join their team. The role of a Shift Plant Operator will be responsible for monitoring and controlling plant operations while completing equipment checks and reporting to the Shift Team Leader

Your responsibilities as a Shift Plant Operator will include:

* Follow all company policies and procedures, and supervise contractors on-site

* Use SCADA/DCS to monitor plant parameters, control fuel stocks, and optimise plant performance

* Maintain accurate records and report environmental incidents to management

* Implement company health and safety policies, and ensure high standards of housekeeping.

* Provide shift cover as needed and work as part of a 24/7 shift rota

Requirements:

* ONC/NVQ level qualification in Engineering or a related discipline, with hands-on experience in heavy industries

* Strong understanding of process flow and experience with SCADA systems

* Familiarity with incineration, power generation, or similar industries

* Good numeracy skills, ability to interpret spreadsheets, and confident use of IT tools like Word and Excel

What this is offering:

* A salary of £40,000 to £41,000 per annum.
