The Royal Borough of Greenwich is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our Housing and Safer Communities department. This is an exceptional opportunity for a talented professional to oversee multi-million-pound budgets and enhance social housing for our community.
Key Responsibilities - Lead on commercial and contractual aspects of the Voids Repairs service, managing contracts and cost governance.
- Provide expertise in NEC, JCT, and NHF (7.2) contracts, ensuring value for money and compliance with public sector funding regulations.
- Manage an annual spend of £8-10 million and up to ten contractors, driving performance, productivity, and efficiency targets.
- Build positive relationships with key stakeholders, including residents and council teams, to support high customer satisfaction.
- Embed a culture of commercial awareness through coaching, performance management, and adherence to KPIs.
About You - Degree-qualified (RICS/CIOB or equivalent) with experience in social housing.
- Knowledge of public procurement, strong commercial awareness, and experience in managing voids/repairs with NHF rates.
- Proven team leadership, contract management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
