About the role:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Teaching Assistant with a specialization in Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) to join our team. In this role, you will be working closely with children who have ASD, providing them with the support they need to thrive in a mainstream educational setting. Your role will be integral to helping our students overcome challenges and achieve their academic and personal goals.
Application Requirements:
• Experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, preferably in a school setting.
• Strong understanding of the challenges faced by children with ASD and the ability to implement effective strategies to support their learning.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other professionals.
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children with special educational needs.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support students with ASD in their day-to-day activities, ensuring they are engaged and able to access the curriculum.
• Assist in the planning and delivery of tailored educational programs for students with ASD.
• Implement behavior management strategies to support students in maintaining focus and positive behavior.
• Collaborate with the SENCO, teachers, and other support staff to ensure a holistic approach to each child's development.
• Provide personal care as needed, ensuring the dignity and well-being of students at all times.
