As an Accounts Assistant, you’ll be a key player in the smooth running of our finance operations. Your day-to-day will involve:

• Raising and reviewing sales invoices with precision.
• Managing purchase invoices and maintaining impeccable records.
• Updating supplier and customer details on our database.
• Calculating VAT on purchases and ensuring compliance.
• Assisting with bank reconciliations and monitoring cash flow.
• Addressing stock or VAT discrepancies with credit/debit notes.
• Providing holiday cover for the finance team.
• Handling credit card processing and updating the credit control sheet.
• Taking charge of general admin tasks, including filing and post.

We’re looking for someone with:

• 2-3 years of experience in an Accounts Assistant role.
• Strong knowledge of accounts payable, receivable, and credit control.
• Proficiency in Excel and other IT tools.
• Exceptional organisational skills and a sharp eye for detail.
• A calm, professional demeanour under pressure and a knack for negotiation.
• A proactive, "can-do" attitude that fits our team ethos.
