Our client is looking for a highly motivated and knowledgeable Senior Sales Agronomist to join their team.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support and advice to commercial farmers, agro-dealers, and agricultural institutions.
- Drive sales and marketing of crop protection chemicals to achieve regional sales targets and objectives.
- Conduct seasonal product demand and sales forecasts for the assigned region.
- Manage regional operations, including stock management, debtor collection, and sales strategy implementation.
- Offer technical support and training to the internal agronomy team for capacity building.
- Develop and assess product trials, including testing new products.
- Coordinate field days and provide external training to farmers.
- Maintain industry awareness by staying updated on technical developments through networking and training.
- Promote and manage the brand effectively within the industry.
Key Skills:
- Strong technical expertise in crop management, soil science, and sustainable farming practices.
- Proven sales and negotiation skills with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for building relationships with stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, including stock, debtors, and sales strategies.
- Skilled in planning, organizing, and delivering technical training and product trials.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in a similar role.
- Deep understanding of crop protection chemicals and agronomy best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Agronomy or a related field.
