A well-established primary school in Cardiff are currently in need of a Teaching Assistant for January 2025, this school are dedicated to fostering a nurturing and inclusive learning environment. Its important that the successful educator share the schools values in the aim to support each child's unique needs and promote their academic and personal growth.
Job Overview: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will support teachers in delivering high-quality education and assist students in achieving their full potential.
Overview:

  • Title: Teaching Assistant
  • Pay: £83.50 per day minimum
  • Location: St Mellons, Cardiff
  • Hours: Full time/Part time, - Monday to Friday 8:30 am - 3:15 pm

The role: What you'll be doing as a Teaching Assistant

  • Helping bridge the gap for learners where English isn't their first language
  • Work in partnership with other members of staff to support the learners in their care
  • Supporting the class Teacher with the planning for the lesson
  • Support learners individually, in small groups and on a full-class basis
  • Engage learners with both classroom and outside-classroom activities
  • Work in accordance to the school's behaviour management policies



The candidate: What you'll need to be successful

  • Registration as a School Learning Support Worker with the EWC (the Education Workforce Council) - we can help you with this
  • References covering the last two years (no gaps)
  • Hold a current Enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one
  • The right to work in the UK
